Rulebook vs meeting assistants

Meeting assistants record your meetings and write notes, summaries and action items. Some of them send the notes to your CRM. Rulebook starts where the notes end: it gives each action item an owner and a plan, asks the owner, does the work in your tools and checks the result.

What Rulebook does today

The same five questions on each compare page. These results come from Brightloop, our demo company with synthetic data, on real HubSpot, Salesforce, Slack and Google accounts. They are not results from customers.

Where does the work come from?

From meeting transcripts, Slack request channels and direct messages, inbound email and the regular tasks in your playbooks. Rulebook finds the work by itself: nobody has to write a prompt.

Live-checked: a regular task made a usage summary with 8 of 8 numbers right

Who approves a change?

The owner of the work item. By default, Rulebook asks the owner before it changes a record. It always asks a person before it sends an email to your customers or does a legal or financial step.

Does it do the work in your tools?

Yes: in HubSpot, Salesforce, Slack, Gmail and Google Drive, Docs and Slides. See the integrations.

Live-checked: a Slack request changed a deal amount in HubSpot and in Salesforce

How do you know that it is done?

Rulebook reads each change back from the tool. The work is done only when the values match, and each run keeps a receipt.

Live-checked: the values read back from HubSpot matched, 3 of 3 receipts complete

Where does each fact come from?

Each fact cites its source. A second model checks each claim, and a fact with no source becomes "Unknown: needs a human". See the trust page.

Live-checked: a planted false price was blocked in a follow-up email

Which one fits your team

If you want notes, summaries and a searchable record of your meetings, a meeting assistant is made for that. If you want the action items to be done in your tools, with the owner's approval and proof, that is what Rulebook does.
