Rulebook vs Attention
Attention's pages say that its agents draft follow-ups and update Salesforce or HubSpot after sales calls. Rulebook also does work in the CRM. It starts work from meetings, Slack, email and regular tasks, and it reads each change back from the tool before it says "done".
What Attention says on its own pages
- Attention says that its agents draft follow-ups, update Salesforce or HubSpot and post next steps to Slack.
- Attention says that it records meetings, emails, calls and CRM data.
- Attention's Series B press release (June 2026) describes an action engine that ranks the next moves of each rep and does the ones that they approve.
What Rulebook does today
The same five questions on each compare page. These results come from Brightloop, our demo company with synthetic data, on real HubSpot, Salesforce, Slack and Google accounts. They are not results from customers.
Where does the work come from?
From meeting transcripts, Slack request channels and direct messages, inbound email and the regular tasks in your playbooks. Rulebook finds the work by itself: nobody has to write a prompt.
Who approves a change?
The owner of the work item. By default, Rulebook asks the owner before it changes a record. It always asks a person before it sends an email to your customers or does a legal or financial step.
Does it do the work in your tools?
Yes: in HubSpot, Salesforce, Slack, Gmail and Google Drive, Docs and Slides. See the integrations.
How do you know that it is done?
Rulebook reads each change back from the tool. The work is done only when the values match, and each run keeps a receipt.
Where does each fact come from?
Each fact cites its source. A second model checks each claim, and a fact with no source becomes "Unknown: needs a human". See the trust page.
Which one fits your team
Both products do work after a conversation. If your work starts mostly from customer calls, compare the two on your own calls. If your work also starts in internal meetings, Slack requests, inbound email and regular tasks, and you want a check in the tool after each change, that is what Rulebook does.
How we compare
- We ask the same five questions of each product.
- We quote a vendor only from its own pages, with the link and the date.
- We mark a fact UNCONFIRMED until we have read it on the vendor page.
- We never say that another product "cannot" do something.
- Is a fact wrong or old? Tell us at support@getrulebook.com and we will fix it.
